MICHELE RENEE STONE Masterpieces

"My hearts greatest calling is teaching others love, kindness, acceptance and inclusion through art."

Hello fellow artists, potential artists AND people stepping into the realm of art for the very first time! I honor and appreciate you landing on my page and taking the time to get to know me!

I welcome you to experience the colorful life of art through Michele Renee Stone’s eyes! A fellow artist once shared with me the following quote for I have a LOVE and CURIOSITY about almost EVERYTHING!

For lack of attention, a thousand forms of loveliness elude us every day.” Evelyn Underhill

As an artist and person, I am someone who marvels at the shape of the leaves on a bush, the beauty in the shade of an exotic flower, the contrast of the crystal blue sky and the orange leaves on an autumn tree. I love the way sparks fly when someone is welding a metal sculpture, the image that one conjours up when someone speaks a profound and juicy quote or complex textures of a mixed media painting.

If any of this sounds intriguing to you, please continue to read you are about to enter into the realm of experiencing the wonder and awe of exploring art and its concepts through my creative imagination.

I think it would be important to share a little about me first…. I have been creating since I was little. Two of my aunts were professional artists who mentored and helped me with a variety of concepts. Here’s evidence from when I was five years old. It’s a winter scene from upstate New York where I lived.

I continued with my artistic training through elementary, middle and high school, winning awards and exhibiting my art publicly.

Yet, when it was time to go to college, I opted for a more ‘fiscally responsible’ route. It took me 10 years to fully come back to my passion and follow it, attending art school, winning awards and eventually becoming a Therapeutic Art Life Coach.

Over the last 20 plus years, I have taught art classes to all ages. From the young age of 4 years old, through the teen years, adults and senior citizens as young as 104. I have taught individualized art sessions, group painting classes for small businesses and corportations, employee appreciation events, birthday parties, senior citizens at assisted living factilities and children in classroom settings, as well as summer camps, I taught art to children and adults at the Carrollwood Cultural Center in Tampa, Florida. I have explored art and shared with many how to believe in their own talents and creativity.

That’s my hope for you. To teach you how to create through painting with watercolor, acrylic or mixed media. Through my classes you will learn a variety of techniques and different painting styles while building your confidence through exploration and creativity.

For years now I have been blessed to work with Michele Stone at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. As an art teacher, she has an abundance of creative energy. Michele possesses an inspiring positivity and ambition to help others grow. She has the gift to empower students to appreciate their individuality and nurture their self-worth while creating original art. She fully invests herself in every goal and every single student. She continues to grow in her position as Art Curator for the Center and faces all challenges head-on. These attributes have made her an invaluable member of our team. I highly recommend her for working with kids!

Katie Castonguay, Education Director, Carrollwood Cultural Center

Hello Michele!
You dont know me, and I have never actually been to the Carrollwood Cultural Center. I am friends with Todd. I heard through him and FB about your online courses and signed my daughter, Charlotte up for the painting and drawing courses on Wed and Thursday evenings. I just wanted to reach out personally and tell you that she was excited to start them...but was so excited to actually take them. She is very artistically talented and these beginning classes were a good start for her as well as a great respite from our current quarantine situation and the daily humdrum of homeschooling with me...her mother. You have really inspired my daughter and brought a bright spot to this otherwise odd and unusual quarantine situation. Thank you!
May God bless you richly!

Anna Hughes, Parent of student taking virtual classes

Thanks to you, I know how to draw turtles now! And I've been drawing them all week!

Noelle, Student in Drawing Basics class, age 12

Michele - the art my children did with you was some of the best work they have ever done. You are amazing at your job and spreading your enthusiasm for art to others- especially children.

Gina Tort, Key Accounts Director, Wolters Kluwer Health

"Dear Mrs. Michele,
I had to run to the store yesterday after my daughter started her (virtual) art lesson. When I got back, my husband asked “have you seen our daughter's painting?”.
We were both amazed at how beautiful it was... plus, my husband, being from northern MN, has a special thing for the northern lights ☺️."

*a second message the following week.

"Our latest quarantine project: a makeover for our half bath. my child's art is decorating it. We could use a few more beautiful paintings ☺️.
Thank you for all that you do"

Ioana, mom of two elementary age children

Michele Stone, first of all was my art teacher for a water colorclass at the Carrollwood Culture Center in TampaBay. I grew to admire her and her free spirit of art, I attended 4 separate classes through the years and could only get myself to paint when I was in that room. She provided a safe and free space for everyone to express themselves and I truly would continue to attend if it wasn't for us moving to a different side of town. At the time I worked for a local blood bank and managed 3 locations, when I was informed "employee appreciation week" is coming up, I didn't have to think further for something special to do with my staff. I called Michele and asked her if she could host 25 staff for a painting class, she eagerly agreed and the rest is history. We has a blast that day and each piece of art was unique yet stunning in its own way. Thank you Michele for making it possible for me and my staff. We LOVED it!!!

Irene Silva, Former Operation Supervisor for OneBlood

Slavi, Adult student

Michele is an absolute treasure of an artist! I have known Michele for over 7 years and she never ceases to amaze me. Not only is she talented herself, but she has such a gift to inspire others and to get others to not only love art, but to want to live it and breath it as well. Michele has such a gift that comes from having a true passion for art. I have seen her work with kids first hand and have heard her stories with working with adults. Everyone who comes into contact with Michele can feel the love, the appreciation and the desire to share her hearts greatest calling. To teach others love, kindness, acceptance, inclusion through art.

Merecedes Washington, Former Camp and After School Coordinator at the YMCA

Michele is a compassionate and talented artist who is incredibly energetic. She approaches all projects with creativity, joy and a positive attitude, giving her time to help others achieve their goals. Michele worked on various projects with me and her input, her insight and dedication were of tremendous value. She is a mover and achiever, an asset to any organization.
